*Alonso lost ten seconds at his second stop after the right rear wheel-nut mechanic failed to realise that the nut had come out of his gun when removing the wheel.

It was only when he tried to refit the wheel that it became clear the nut was missing, and the time was lost while a replacement wheel nut was found.
Coincidentally, the right rear wheel-nut man was the same one involved in the problem at the Hungarian Grand Prix, where a broken wheel-retaining pin on Alonso's car led to the wheel-nut coming off as he returned to the track.*

Massa joins Alonso in Fisichella criticism

Felipe Massa says he understands Fernando Alonso's anger after the Chinese Grand Prix a week ago.

Ferrari driver Massa's counterpart at Renault is Giancarlo Fisichella, who overtook his team-mate Alonso when the Spaniard was having tyre trouble at Shanghai.

Fisichella's move left Alonso open to attack from Michael Schumacher, who ultimately won the race and stole the lead of the drivers' championship.

'If I had been Fisichella, I would have protected my team-mate,' Massa told reporters for the Marca newspaper at Suzuka.

'I think Fisichella did not block Schumacher because he didn't want to. If I am in a similar situation and can help Michael, there is no doubt that I will try.'

It should be noted - in fairness to Fisichella - that he remained behind his team leader for as long as possible before making a dash for it and then allowed Alonso though for position later in the race.

ή μήπως τον έχει μεγάλη ανάγκη του χρόνου, στη μετάβαση από Michelin σε Bridge?? Αν μη τι άλλο ο Fisi είναι από τους πλέον αξιόπιστους οδηγούς εξέλιξης. Θυμηθείτε τι τράβηξε την περίοδο από Benetton σε Renault. Θα μπορούσαν να βρουν καλύτερο οδηγό για τη σημαντική αυτή (χαμαλο-)δουλειά?

McLaren driver Pedro de la Rosa knows it for sure, the Spaniard will be racing for the McLaren F1 team at the Brazilian Grand Prix in about a week from now. De la Rosa is testing this week with the team in Jerez in preparations for the Grand Prix at Interlagos.

Δεν ξέρεις ποτέ τι γίνεται μέσα σε μία ομάδα. Τώρα πως γίνεται ένας πολύ καλός οδηγός να έχει πέσει τόσο πολύ πηγαίνοντας στην Τογιότα...

η FIA επιτρεπει στη φερραρι να πουλησει κινητηρες σε 2 διαφορετικες ομαδες......ετσι η Cosworth μενει χωρις συμβολαιο το 2007 ,το οτι εχει τον καλυτερο κινητηρα IMHO δεν παιζει ρολο, ουτε το οτι προφανως εχει μεγαλυτερη αναγκη το συμβολαιο απο οτι η φερραρι.
τι λεμε τωρα....ειναι προφανες οτι πρεπει να φυγει κοσμος απο την F1 και να βρει δουλεια αλλου αλλωστε μερικοι ονειρευονται ομαδες 100 ατομων

Η αλλαγη που βγαζει τους backmarkers απ'τη μεση εξυπηρετει τους σκοπους του θεαματος αλλα ειναι κατ'εμε τελειως αδικη. Ετσι οι προπορευομενοι οδηγοι τιμωρουνται διπλα: Εκτος του οτι χανουν τη διαφορα, ειχαν και να περασουν και τους backmarkers ενω οι απο πισω δε χρειαζεται να κανουν το ιδιο

Αλλα τι περιμενεις ο κανονισμος αντιγραφηκε απο USA μερια
