Dear Mr. Bakker
Mr. Bakker
Thank you for your e-mail. I finally found somebody from JASON AEBEE who could give me some more specific information. According to them the part number you are referring to was never accepted because it had only an extra 7% coverage and would be charged 200 euros which obviously is unacceptable. They also said that although they have promised a free first map update during the car selling they will not be able to do that since there was a charge by MITSUBISHI.
Although I must admit that I am very satisfied in terms of response feedback, I find very strange that Mitsubishi produces cars with a navigation system which does not cover the areas that the car is sold. I should add that I never had the option to buy the car without a navigation system since the only one version of 2.0D engine sold in Greece is the fully equipped one. Thus I was charged for non functional equipment. The above become even more strange if one considers that NAVTEQ has a map of Greece with full coverage (100%) which is available in other car brands.
