According to team boss Mario Theissen, BMW Sauber has employed 'two number one' drivers for the 2006 season.

But former Grand Prix driver Hans-Joachim Stuck, the 55-year-old German who raced 74 times in the 70s, reckons actual reality at the Hinwil based Grand Prix team this year will play differently.

He told Germany's Sport1 publication that 28-year-old Heidfeld - on a new three year team agreement - is BMW's chosen son.

'Nick is German and will probably also stay at the team for longer,' Stuck said. 'I think (Jacques) Villeneuve is absolutely the right choice, but more emphasis will be on Nick.'*

Με στεναχωρησε πολυ αυτη η ειδηση.Ελπιζω τουλαχιστων εστω και την τελευταια στιγμη οπως εμεις συνηθηζουμε να γινει κατι.

Καλωσηρθες Σταθη! Στο Spa, ασχετα με οτι λεγεται επισημως, το προβλημα ειναι ο αχορταγος στα λεφτα promoter. Θελω να πιστευω οτι αργα ή γρηγορα ο Bernie θα το λυσει το θεμα με ανθρωπο της εμπιστοσυνης του.

Japan's Super Aguri get FIA go-ahead
The eleventh team for the 2006 season

Japan's Super Aguri team was given the green light on Thursday to take their place on the grid in this year's Formula One world championship, the sport's governing body FIA said.

'Having received the necessary financial guarantees and taken into account unanimous agreement of the other competing teams, the FIA has accepted the late entry of the Super Aguri F1 Team to the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship.'

Super Aguri becomes the 11th team lined up for the 2006 championship which gets under way in Bahrain on March 12.

The team had said in December that they had secured the agreement of the other ten teams in the championship to go forward with their application. A spokesman for Super Aguri told AFP on Thursday that the driver line-up will be announced soon.

Suzuki announced three weeks ago that his team would use engines supplied by Honda Motor and will be based in Langley in Oxfordshire in Britain and use the factory of disbanded F1 team Arrows.

Japanese driver Takuma Sato, dropped by BAR-Honda last season, is tipped to fill one of the seats.

Former Jordan racer gets the test role

On the day of the launch of their 2006 season race car, the FW28, WilliamsF1 confirmed the appointment of Narain Karthikeyan as the team’s fourth driver.

Karthikeyan, dubbed ‘The fastest Indian in the World,’ first tested for the team early December and impressed the team with his skill and capability in the car.

While the team took the decision to hire the experience of Alex Wurz to carry out the important Friday testing role for the 2006 season, WilliamsF1 still regarded the young Indian’s abilities highly. Today’s confirmation of Karthikeyan’s appointment as a team test driver is validation of that confidence.

Karthikeyan has been signed by the team both to develop his own potential and to make a valuable contribution to the crucial test programme, the bedrock of Williams’ 2006 championship as the company strengthens its new technical partnerships with engine suppliers, Cosworth and tyre company, Bridgestone.

ουτε η Mercedes φταίει, ούτε ο τρόπος που το οδηγάει..

Πρωτη δοκιμή πήρε χθες την MP4-21 και με το που βγήκε απο το garage, ουτε στα πιτς δεν πρόλαβε να μπεί και πήρε φωτια η μηχανή!!!!!!!
