In April this year Audi had Monza layout the circuit without the first chicane so their LMP1 R18 could run through the Curva Grande at high speed. I presume they were doing this to test out the high speed aero on the R18.

Whatever the case maybe, it is awesome to see Monza laid out (well at least some of the circuit) in the way it was originally intended.

I do not hear any lift going into the corner so I assume the R18 was entering the corner at 340kmh+. Lucky test driver.

Revs Magazine in the UK did a test of panel filters years ago. The new paper filter out-flowed all other panel filters but blocked up much faster. The conclusion being paper filters are good when new but after time the aftermarket panels will be flowing more air.

If you want maximum power from the stock airbox and you don't mind changing filters regularly, paper is the way to go. If you want a fit and forget solution that you have to clean now and again, aftermarket is the way to go.
